The Ardmore was offered as one of a new series of 14K solid gold
Hamiltons containing the newly introduced 982 19-jewel movement.
This new design series was constructed "curved to fit the wrist" and
even included a unique curved dial as well.
All early 982 solid gold Hamilton's
are scarce and the Ardmore is no exception. This model is considered
to be classic in design and style and was chosen by Hamilton to be
included in its new Swiss quartz powered "American Classics
Collection" which was released in 1992.
Although the 1936 Hamilton Catalog
offers the Ardmore with an "applied gold marker dial" only, the
Ardmore was available with "applied gold numerals" as well.
The Ardmore was offered in 14K yellow
gold only.
