Comments: The Brooke was one of Hamilton's earliest asymmetrical designs. Introduced in 1937, only the Spur superseded the Brooke in early asymmetrical styling characteristics.
The Brooke was designed to allow the wearer to view the time without having to turn the wrist a full 45 degrees. Hamilton accomplished this task by designing the watch to be wedge shaped. The watch actually sits higher on the wrist at the twelve o'clock position and lower on the wrist at the six o'clock position. In addition, the watch is wider at the lower six o'clock position than it is at the higher twelve o'clock position. This styling created a truly unique and functional wristwatch that was revolutionary when initially introduced.
Although no production numbers exist for the Brooke, it apparently was not a popular model as they are fairly scarce today.
The Brooke was offered in 14K gold-filled only.
