Comments: The Morley was one of a new line Hamilton introduced in the "lower" priced category. The 1936 Catalog advertised this line as "Hamilton's popular-priced strap watches" that contained the 987 17 jewel movement. This line was marketed to individuals that previously could not afford to own a Hamilton and the model line was available in gold-filled cases only.
This particular Morley has an unusual "wood grained" dial. The dial is solid silver and has a simulated "wood grain" etched into the silver giving the impression that the dial was carved from a piece of wood.
