Comments: The Mount Vernon is unique amongst early Hamilton wristwatches. It's case is a stylized design consisting of center based lugs which hold a single bar which holds the strap. The bars holding the strap are screwed into place and the strap is notched so as not to interfere with the lug.
Although the Mount Vernon was considered ultra-modern in its day, it was not particularly popular with consumers and subsequently was produced for only a two year period. It is however, a classic Hamilton design and is a very desirable model amongst Hamilton collectors.
