___________________________
Comments: The Pierre was the second generation to utilize the 982 19-jewel movement and the first 982 Hamilton wrist watch manufactured with hinged lugs. It was offered in 14K solid gold and was part of the "curved to fit the wrist" series. Although considered a classic wrist watch by Hamilton enthusiasts, the Pierre was not particularly popular when first introduced and subsequently was produced for only two years. The Pierre is a very scarce model and is widely sought by Hamilton collectors.
The Pierre was sold in 14K yellow gold only.
Note: It was not unusual for Hamilton to have deviated from production specifications to satisfy a customer's request. Subsequently, "untypical" Hamilton's although unusual, are not particularly rare. This particular Pierre appears to have a dial different from the cataloged dial. It is unknown if the customer ordered the watch this way or if the dial merely served as a replacement for the original.
