Comments: As with other round shaped Hamiltons produced during the Depression, the Prescott is a fairly small watch. It was a popular watch when introduced and utilized hinged lugs thereby allowing it to curve around the wrist.
With the exception of the Palisade introduced in 1930, round watches were not a particularly common offering. Early Cushions contained a round dial but their cases were distinctly "cushion" shaped.
The Prescott was one of the early Hamilton "round" models and because of the model's popularity, Hamilton subsequently began offering "round" models in each of the next two years with the Ellsworth and Winslow offered in 1935 and the Randolph offered in 1936. Interestingly, none had the sales success that the Prescott had.
The Prescott was offered in yellow gold filled only.
