Comments: Although Hamilton records indicate that over 3,000 Winslow's were produced, the Winslow is rarely found today. Its scarcity may be in part due to the fact that it is often thought to be a woman's watch since it utilizes a cord band instead of a leather strap or metal bracelet. Additionally, it was more difficult to replace the leather cord once replacement needed thereby shortening the watch's usable life.
Generally, woman's watches are not as collectable as men's watches and subsequently, many Winslow's may have been discarded or cannibalized for parts.
The Winslow only appears in the 1935 Hamilton catalog and apparently, was not popularly received. Like the Donavan which was also introduced in 1935, the Winslow used a leather cord strap and looped gold lugs which may have been considered feminine at the time, subsequently adding to this models unpopularity.
The Winslow was offered in 14K yellow gold-filled only.
